Dr. Pierre F. Steenberg attained a B.A. Theology degree from Andrews University, Michigan. He also earned a B.A. Honors in Biblical Studies, an M.A. in Biblical Studies and a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Both the M.A. and the Ph.D. were attained with distinction - the highest possible grade presented at a South African University. He graduated more recently Magna Cum Laude with a D.Min. in Pastoral Psychology and Family Therapy from the Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, California. He is a member of numerous academic societies in both theology and counseling, including the Society of Biblical Literature and the American Association of Christian Counselors. He is the author of several articles and books. He currently serves as an assistant professor for Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA.
Pierre has been a pastor and a counselor for many years, enjoying the credential of BCCC (Board Certified Christian Counselor) from the International Board of Christian Counselors. He is a sought-after speaker on religious, marriage, relationships and parenting topics. He regularly presents seminars both in the U.S.A and internationally. He is married to Karlien and they have two adult sons. The Steenberg family lives in California. Pierre enjoys photography, research and travel.
